An online session is exactly like and in-person session expect that we are meeting via the computer. I use the same types of therapy techniques in an online session as I do for in-person sessions.
Your privacy and confidentiality are of utmost importance. I use a HIPPA compliant software system to protect your privacy and confidentiality. When it’s time for our session, you’ll click on a link and you will wait in a virtual waiting room for me to start our session.
I do not record sessions nor do I ever use AI to help write my clinical chart notes.

Absolutely! When the pandemic hit, I began seeing clients via telehealth. I’ve found I can build a relationship with and provide expert help to online clients just as well as I can to in-person ones. Plus, the positive thing about the pandemic is that we all learned we could have meaningful connections online and being in online meetings or gatherings became commonplace.

I believe in full transparency for the costs of your therapy. As an out-of-network provider, I am not on any insurance panels, and I do not file claims for you.
However, If your insurance covers out-of-network providers, they may reimburse you for part of my fee.
I recommend you contact the customer service department for your insurance company prior to starting therapy to determine what the reimbursement rates on your plan are. I don’t want you to have any surprises about costs.

Great question!
I am different from most therapists in that my style is very direct. I share information, offer suggestions and don’t shy away from challenging you to consider making changes to your thoughts, feelings and behaviors.
Although I always endeavor to be warm and empathetic, I want you to get results. I believe you are paying me for my many years of education and experience.
I am the type of therapist I would want for myself.
