Sex Therapy Intensives

Fast-Track Your Path to a Fulfilling Sex Life

When Sex Feels Like a Struggle,
You Want Quick Results

✔️ You’re frustrated with a lack of intimacy, desire, or connection in your relationship.
✔️ You’re dealing with erectile dysfunction, low libido, low desire, or unfulfilling sex.
✔️ Sex feels like a source of stress, shame, or avoidance rather than pleasure.
✔️ You and your partner have mismatched desires, leading to tension or resentment.
✔️ You’re ready to address these issues but don’t want to wait months to see change.

A Better Sex Life Starts Now—
Not Months from Now

Traditional weekly therapy can be helpful, but when intimacy issues cause stress, avoidance, or emotional distance,
a sex therapy intensive can help you make real progress in just one day.

What is a SexTherapy Intensive?

A sex therapy intensive is an immersive, accelerated approach designed to help individuals and couples resolve intimacy challenges more quickly than traditional therapy. Rather than spreading sessions over months, we dedicate one or more full days to focused, expert guidance so you can start seeing results sooner.

With this concentrated approach, you can:

  • Understand and address barriers to intimacy and desire.

  • Heal emotional wounds that impact your sex life.

  • Take charge of erectile dysfunction, orgasm difficulties, performance anxiety, or desire challenges.

  • Learn what you want and need for a healthy, satisfying, and pleasurable sex life.

  • Learn how to effectively talk about your sex so it isn’t awkward or a source of conflict.

  • Reconnect with yourself or your partner on a deeper level.

What to Expect from Your Intensive

A Customized Experience – We tailor the intensive to get to the root of your struggles and provide real solutions. Prior preparation allows us to hit the ground running when we start the intensive session.
Deep & Focused Work – Without the time constraints of weekly sessions, we can do a deep dive into your issues and create real shifts in your sexual intimacy. We bypass the “catch-up” and “wrap-up” of weekly sessions and dive straight into what matters most. A one-day intensive can yield the equivalent deep work of 8 -10 regular sessions—more than two months’ worth of therapy—condensed into a single day, allowing for faster breakthroughs and deeper transformation.
Practical, Actionable Tools – Walk away with practical tools and insights to create a more satisfying and fulfilling sex life.
A Safe, Confidential Space – Talk openly about your concerns with a certified sex therapist who understands.

✔️ Those who want to improve their intimacy and sexual connection.
✔️ Busy professionals or couples who prefer a focused, accelerated approach.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • An intensive may be a good option for you if:

✔️ You want to accelerate your progress and make big changes in a short time.
✔️ You don’t have the time or patience for weekly sessions.
✔️ You’re facing a crisis or emotional challenge and need immediate support.
✔️ You’re ready for deep work and lasting transformation.

I’m happy to talk with you so you can make the best decision for your needs.

  • Therapy intensives provide a more effective and efficient alternative to traditional 50-minute sessions. In a standard session, a portion of the time—often 5-10 minutes at the beginning—is spent checking in, and another 5-10 minutes at the end is used for wrapping up. This leaves only about 30-40 minutes for deep therapeutic work.

In contrast, a 3-hour therapy intensive allows for approximately 2.5 hours of focused, uninterrupted progress. That’s the equivalent deep work of five regular sessions—more than a month’s worth of therapy—condensed into a single day, allowing for faster breakthroughs and deeper transformation.

  • Individual sessions typically last 50 - 80 minutes and occur weekly or bi-weekly.

Therapy intensives are intentionally designed to jumpstart your progress and help you to feel better faster. They range from 3 to 8 hour intensives and can cover the same ground you would in months of therapy.

I conduct intensives both in-person and online.

  • Neither is better. Research shows you can achieve the same results from either in-person or online therapy. The choice comes down to personal preference, along with both your and my availability. Many of my online clients prefer the efficiency of not wasting travel time to and from my office. Others prefer the confidentiality of online therapy.

  • A 50% non-refundable deposit is due when you book your Therapy Intensive. The remaining 50% is due on the day of the first Intensive Session. I accept cash or credit cards, including HSA’s.

  • Therapy intensives are similar to individual or couple’s sessions with the exception that the work is very concentrated and can be emotionally intense.

I follow a structured format that enables us to efficiently cover a lot of ground, while also taking time for breaks during the process. I deliberately schedule a coffee/lunch break in the middle of the session to give you time to relax and get energized for the second half of the session.

Prior to the intensive, we will discuss what you want to accomplish and what areas are priorities for you. I carefully monitor our time to ensure we work on the things that are most important to you.

I intentionally create a relaxed, safe, and supportive environment so you feel comfortable talking and sharing your thoughts and feelings.

  • Typically, insurance will not cover the cost of a therapy intensive. They may cover a portion as an out-of-network cost, but I suggest you call customer service and find out before you book so you know exactly what the financial investment would be.

  • Absolutely! Additionally, it’s sometimes very beneficial to be exposed to another therapist’s feedback and ideas. However, I would want to consult with the other therapist to ensure we are working together to help your healing journey. I would need you to sign a release of information to allow me to talk with the other therapist.

  • Great question!

I am different from most therapists in that my style is very direct. I share information, offer suggestions and don’t shy away from challenging you to consider making changes to your thoughts, feelings and behaviors.

Although I always endeavor to be warm and empathetic, I want you to get results. I believe you are paying me for my many years of education and experience.

I am the type of therapist I would want for myself.

  • Please contact me to schedule a consultation. Therapy is a special relationship and each person has unique needs. I want to ensure we are the right fit for one another.
